Urbanism Latin America
The purpose of this seminar is to discover elements of urban identities
in current Latin American cities.
The term urban identity refers to specific social and spatial configurations
in Latin American cities that originate from various historical
layers that are usually associated with indigenous, colonial and
industrial stages of development.
Following a series of 4 introductory presentations, participants
will work out, present and discuss papers focusing on of the following
themes: migration, public spaces and segregation.
The seminar will be held in English. Spanish will be useful for
the literature.
