The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH was formed on 1 January 2011. It brings together the expertise of German Development Service (DED), Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and Inwent. As a federally owned enterprise, GIZ is supporting people and societies in developing, transition and industrialised countries in shaping their own futures and improving living conditions

The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is the largest funding organization in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. The UM Masters Course is one of a total of 35 postgraduate training programs offered at German universities, which is a member of the DAAD program of Postgraduate degree Courses with Relevance to Developing Countries.x

The Technische Universität Berlin is a member of the UN HABITAT Partner University Network since March 2010. The Habitat Unit and the Urban Management Program of the TU Berlin are the focal points for the UN HABITAT Partner Universities initiative.
   
 

The Heinrich Böll Foundation is part of the Green political movement and acting worldwide. The main tenets are ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice.

   
 
The Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ) is responsible for development policy in the Federal Republic of Germany.
     
 
Berlin-Brandenburg International Studies Network (BISS) is an alliance of international postgraduate Master-courses with various scientific backgrounds in the region Berlin-Brandenburg.
     
 
 

ISR

The Urban Management Program is institutionally linked to the Habitat Unit, to the Institute for Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (ILaUP) and to the Institute for Urban and Regional Planning (ISR) of Faculty VI of the Berlin University of Technology and benefits from their contacts and experience. Both institutions cooperate intensively in teaching and research with national and international development agencies as well as with individuals and institutions in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
